Final back cover although slight alterations maybe made.
Changes were made to the font due to the advert we can see that this was extremely important although i liked the old font. This had to be done as our poster used that font. In my research of ancillary task consistency seem very important looking at real products.
The final front cover for our ancillary task. Although slight alterations may be made.
We had changed the front cover slightly as you can see the front is more clear (artist name). The album name had been changed due to consistency with the a4 poster. I didn't like the change and was still unsure as the previous font has urban connotations. They both were very appealing. I felt that it wouldn't be so bad for the poster and cd font to be very different. But changes may take place leaving this to be the possible final product. Just as our logo had an urban font.
After some discussion amongst our group we felt it would be best to remove text and leave the image black and white.
Original
black and white
(final inlay card)
We removed the text and decided to keep it black and white. This image was chosen as it showed strong connotations of an urban clothes this is complemented through mise-en-scene as looking at his clothing we see a chain, designer clothes and a baseball cap. These are strong conceptions from the hip hop background. The image is of excellent quality and this medium close up of the artist works well and in effect looks exceptional.
The background choice was very controversial as we wanted to add a different aspect to our artist. The houses of parliament was in the back which is a place where members of parliament takes place. A lot can happen as decision that take place in there effect the countries future. I wanted audiences to infer many readings from the image as the Eminem'curtain call' inlay did. I want audiences to receive a strong perception from the artist as he was from the grime background leaving that genre to become an effective hip hop artist is a big step. I deliberately wanted an image of parliament as people have mixed feeling being good or bad but still focus on the important matter which is the artist that why the background is blurred. Overall we felt leaving the image simple with no font was easier and more conventional of inlay card and give audiences something to ponder about the artist.
